4. The Harry Potter series

One of the most famous books-to-movies adaptations without a doubt is the thoroughly loved Harry Potter series. 5. Charlie And The Chocolate Factory 

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a children's book originally written Roald Dahl and adapted to a movie which stars Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka. It is the story of a poor boy who wins a Golden Ticket into the world’s most amazing chocolate factory. Tim Burton has, with his imagination, brought to life a fantastic book and created a movie that will forever be loved by children and adults alike.

6. Marley and Me

Marley and Me, a truly delightful family film, was adopted from the autobiography by John Grogan. The movie stars Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson, who are gifted comic actors and do a great job of making the movie even more lovable. It is the story of a couple who adopt an adorable puppy, who turns out to be the 'Worlds Worst Dog'. However, this dog grows old with them, sees them through their ups and downs, and soon becomes the most important part of their family. Both the movie and the book is packed with emotional scenes. It is a must-watch for all dog lovers and will definitely make anyone want to adopt a pet!
